Fire Protection Services

Fire safety isn't one-size-fits-all. We assess your site, your risks and your legal obligations, then put together protection that actually fits — not the minimum you can get away with, and not more than you need.

Fire Extinguisher Servicing

Under NZS 4503:2005, extinguishers must be inspected and serviced at least every 12 months (every 6 months in higher-risk environments), by a competent technician. We supply, install and service extinguishers across Canterbury and the West Coast, and keep records so you can prove compliance if you're ever asked.

Fire Suppression Systems

We install and maintain fire suppression systems for commercial and industrial sites, from kitchens to plant rooms to storage facilities holding flammable liquids. We work with three specialist systems, matched to the risk:

• ANSUL — commercial kitchen and restaurant fire suppression, purpose-built for cooking line and deep fryer fires.

• PAFSS — pneumatically actuated suppression for enclosed risks such as switchboards, machinery enclosures and electrical cabinets, triggering automatically the moment a fire is detected.

• FirePro — condensed aerosol suppression for total-flooding protection in spaces like plant rooms, server rooms and battery/energy storage areas.

Compliance Advice

Building owners carry legal responsibility for fire safety under the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Regulations 2018: evacuation procedures, appropriate equipment, and accessibility for people with disabilities all factor in. We assess your building size and layout, existing protection, hazard areas and evacuation routes, then make sure every box is ticked. If you need a sign-off for fire systems, we'll manage that process with you.

Staff Training
